Nashville Flooding

The Cumberland River in Nashville, Tennessee had recently flooded. This river has not flooded since the 1800’s. It has created millions of dollars in damage. The flood has ripped right through houses, totally destroying them. It picked up cars and carried them downstream like they were weightless. The damage is terrible and will take a long time to clean up. A few corporations, such as the Red Cross, have been helping the situation. They are trying to help clean up the debris and help people who have lost their home. Some areas of the city are up to ten feet underwater. Famous buildings have been flooded also. The Grand Ole Opera has four feet of water inside of it. The water is slowly draining back into the river. The clean up is in progress and Nashville will hopefully be returned to its normal state as soon as possible.
